For 38 years, South Central Family Health Center (SCFHC) has played a major role in filling the void for comprehensive health services in the historically underserved and uninsured population of South Los Angeles. The services provided directly address healthcare issues prevalent among geographically and economically disadvantaged individuals and families.
Since its inception, SCFHC has been in the forefront committed to addressing healthcare disparities in a competent and linguistically appropriate manner. SCFHC has more than 250 staff members of which 36 are clinicians who provide the direct medical services, treatment and care to patients. SCFHC is constructing a Vision Care Center that will provide affordable eye exams and glasses to the community. The Vision 2020 Gala will help us raise funds for this important facility.
Vision Care is a vital service that is not currently provided by any other community health center in South Los Angeles, and creates a unique opportunity for you to provide the gift of sight. Your participation is an affirmation of your own belief that men, women, and children deserve the right to see.
